Happy Spring to everyone. Now is the time to fill out and send in your Jr 1-1 Annual Achievement Summary Report (link below). They are due before May 1st. All clubs that submit forms will have their name featured in the Junior Keynotes and receive a national certificate.
Make sure to share our National Music Week Survey with your club members. Club members can also visit the website just to read the reponses. Let's try to get National Music Week celebrations all accross our state. Below are some ideas that are available from out website.
Create a poster or flyer and attach the NMW QR code to share our state website and survey with your club members and friends.
Have members decorate a pennant and send in a picture of them
Do National Music Week Activities together to earn your CA Ambassador award. Don't forget to take photos to document your achievements.
Make sure to report you news so it can be featured on our website this summer.

Summer is the time to plan and organize! What exciting programs and events will your club be planning this year? Will you be applying for any club awards? This summer I am challenging club leaders and councelors to make an official Junior Club Yearbook/Directory. I will be posting a template along with a sample here June 1st.
What Leadership positions does your club have ? When members are volunteering to be an officer, consider adding the following positions to your Junior Clubs.
United Nations Reporter
Did you know that NFMC is a member of the United Nations? The National Federation of Music Clubs has been affiliated with the United Nations since 1949. NFMC and her members are committed to implementing strategies and programs of action that will support the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development, Agenda 2030, and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
A Junior Club United Nations Reporter can research and present strategies to club members that would support the United Nations Goals. Some ideas are listed below
Present the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of the month at meetings to club members
Stay informed by reading articles written in Junior Keynotes by our NFMC United Nations Representative Dr. Liana Valente.
Incorproate SDGs at club events, meetings, and activities.

What types of philanthropy does your club participate in?
A Community Giving Director can research and report back to club members different volunteer opportunities based on the many different types of philanthropy such as the examples listed below.
Time - Volunteering at a local rescue center or at Federation Festival
Talent - Performing at senior living centers, hospitals or malls.
Treasure - Organizing play-a-thons and recitals to fundraise and collect donations for charitable giving.
