This membership is for music teachers and their students.
CFMC membership is different from other music organizations in that membership is not exclusive to teachers. Senior Music Clubs bring together likeminded teachers, musicians, and music enthusiasts both professionally and socially to support music education and musicians in their community. Music Teachers can form Junior Clubs with their students under their larger Senior Club. CFMC members are part of the National Federation of Music Clubs, which is the largest philanthropic nonprofit organization in America supporting American Musicians, performers and music education.
A Senior Club is the greater music club that encompasses all CFMC members in a festival area.
CFMC membership is about joining and volunteering with a local music club. Members work together as a Senior Club to organize and run their festival and other club events. CFMC membership secretary, Madeline Miller, can connect you with the different clubs and CFMC members near you.
In NFMC, a Junior Club represents an individual teacher and his/her students.
When a teacher pays Junior Club dues, it includes their membership and the membership for up to 16 of their students. Additional students can be added to for a small fee. Once dues are paid, members must know and follow all rules of their local festival area.
All membership applications must be postmarked by October 1st to avoid a $10 late fee.
Membership applications will not be accepted after November 1st
